Thankful Thursday #23

I am so thankful for so many things everyday.

I am so thankful for coinkydinks.  I am not sure if I spelled that correctly, but I am not sure it is even a real word.

It's my sister's favorite word for a coincidence that seems to be more than just that.

I have said before I don't really believe in coincidences.  I believe there are bigger things than us happening all of the time and our God is moving in every second of our lives.

At this time of year we become more aware, and appreciative, of miracles.  We love to watch movies about Christmas miracles and magical things happening.  I think it happens all of the time, we just pay more attention around Christmas.

I had my own "coinkydink" this week.

I have a listing for a necklace in my shop.  I listed it a few weeks ago and when I figured up the listing price it came to $53.00.  I was close to my 53rd listing.  This was on a Sunday and my son happened to be home.  He played high school football and his number was 53.  He was a three year starter and his team won state all three years.  I made sure the necklace with the price of $53 was my 53rd listing.  I told my son maybe that would be good luck.  The necklace is green emeralds with a Herkimer Diamond.

I got a message earlier this week about the necklace.  The girl was so sweet and she loved the necklace design.  She was looking for a custom piece to commemorate an event.  She asked me if I could do something like that for her in that style.

I love doing custom orders.  I recently did necklaces for a friend who wanted them for her grandson's youth football team.  I don't know about you, but I remember the times when I was younger when someone outside of family "gave" me something.  It means so much to kids any time they get recognition and just praised.  There was an older man in our church when I was younger who gave me a piece of gum every Sunday.  It was just a piece of gum, but he just loved kids.  He had many grandchildren, some in the church, and it was just something he did but it still sticks out in my mind. I love being a part of making something that is just an act of kindness that can mean so much to someone.  I sent one of my Friendship charms with the Bible verse Ephesians 4:29-32  and the buyer wanted a note with it saying the receiver inspires they buyer to live by this verse.  Just being a small part of human kindness is beyond rewarding.  It just takes making pretty things to a whole new level.  It's the reason I love doing what I do.

I was more than happy to make a necklace for this customer. What I wasn't expecting was when she asked if I could do the new design in a certain order.  She wanted 5 emerald beads with a diamond spacer and then, yep, you guessed it, 3 more emerald beads. I LOVE when things like this happen.  She had no idea the significance of the number to me when she ordered it.  She couldn't believe it, but loves and appreciates things like this and has her own stories.

We all need reminders throughout the year that there is something far greater working in our lives all the time.

God is good, ALL the time!

I added this last listing with the inspiration of Christmas Eve.  It has a big 925 Sterling Silver star, a 925 Sterling Silver cross, with three London Blue Topaz beads on 14k Gold Filled head pins.  The chain is 14k gold filled. The length is approximately 21 inches. The Topaz beads are December birthstone, but they are also the color of a night sky.
